Samuel A. Gillespie

Mr. Gillespie holds the position of chief operating officer of Behringer Harvard Opportunity REIT I and II, Short-Term Opportunity Fund, Strategic Opportunity Funds I and II, and the Mid-term Value Enhancement Fund. Mr. Gillespie’s current responsibilities include leading the management teams responsible for executing the operating strategies for each of these Behringer Harvard investment programs. Mr. Gillespie joined Behringer Harvard in November 2004 after spending 21 years in the commercial real estate industry with Trammell Crow Company. In his most recent position with Trammell Crow, Mr. Gillespie served as managing director of national accounts and was responsible for Trammell Crow Company’s largest institutional customers. Prior to that, Mr. Gillespie was partner in charge of Trammell Crow’s Indianapolis office from 1986 to 1997. He began his career with Trammell Crow as a leasing agent in Oklahoma City in 1983. Mr. Gillespie holds a Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, in accounting from Texas A&M University, and holds the CCIM designation.

W. Terry Kennon

Mr. Kennon is senior vice president–asset management at Behringer Harvard. Mr. Kennon joined Behringer Harvard in February 2004 and has more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience. He is currently responsible for portfolio management of Behringer Harvard REIT I, Inc. and management of that REIT's asset management team.

From September 2002 to February 2004, he was senior vice president–asset management with KBS Realty Advisors. From July 2001 to August 2002, Mr. Kennon served as regional vice president–property management for PM Realty Group. Mr. Kennon’s prior experience includes various management positions in the title industry, real estate investment consulting, and an extensive tenure in the real estate group of a major financial institution.

In 2007, Mr. Kennon was admitted into the Counselors of Real Estate, an international organization of leaders in the real estate industry. Mr. Kennon is a certified property manager and holds Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Memphis.

Mark A. Flynt

Mr. Flynt oversees the firm’s public and private partnership opportunity and value-added style funds. Mr. Flynt has been in the commercial real estate industry since 1978 in a wide variety of senior level management roles, including project leasing, property management, tenant representation, asset management, and investment property acquisition and disposition. Throughout his career, Mr. Flynt has been actively involved in the oversight of 45 million square feet of office, retail and industrial properties throughout the United States. He has successfully negotiated hundreds of leases up to 200,000 square feet, building sales up to $65,000,000 in value and has overseen building renovations up to $30,000,000 in construction cost. Mr. Flynt holds the Certified Property Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management, is a Texas Real Estate Commission accredited MCE instructor and is also a licensed real estate broker in the state of Texas.

Albert J. Palamara

Mr. Palamara is the vice president and portfolio manager of the Behringer Harvard Opportunity REIT II, Inc. Prior to joining the company in 2007, Mr. Palamara was senior vice president of Lexington Realty Trust, one of the largest publicly traded REITS in the United States that specializes in single tenant, net leased properties. In this role, he oversaw asset management for approximately $1 billion of office and industrial assets. In addition, Mr. Palamara helped the company open its Dallas office in May 2005.

From 2004 until 2005, Mr. Palamara was the chief operating officer for Holt Lunsford Commercial, one of Dallas' largest management and leasing companies. For seven years prior to that, Mr. Palamara was senior asset manager at INVESCO Real Estate, a pension fund advisor. He began his real estate career with LaSalle Partners (now Jones Lang LaSalle) in 1987 and spent 10 years with its management services group specializing in property management, leasing, and redeveloping office properties.  Mr. Palamara holds a Master of Business degree and Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University.

Ross P. Odland

Ross P. Odland is the vice president - portfolio management of our advisor. Mr. Odland is responsible for developing investment strategies, sourcing, developing and managing joint venture partnerships, and leading the asset management group for the multifamily group. From 2000 to 2007, Mr. Odland was vice president of portfolio management at AMLI Residential Properties Trust, formerly a New York Stock Exchange listed REIT, where he managed the company's joint venture relationships and performed portfolio and asset management duties for the company's southwest region, valued in excess of $1.1 billion. From 1997 to 2000, Mr. Odland was a consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Real Estate Advisory Group. In this role, Mr. Odland performed valuation, market research, and due diligence activities for publicly traded REITs and institutional real estate funds.

Mr. Odland holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Mr. Odland is a chartered financial analyst (CFA) and member of the CFA Society of Dallas-Fort Worth and a member of the Pension Real Estate Advisory Association.
